infinite_reader 's review for:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
by Stephen Chbosky
There are books that makes you read them at a stretch, and this one belonged to that set.
So good it was!
In the beginning it was bit boring that the whole narration was from a single point of view, but it grew on me later.
I was glad that I had read 'The catcher in the rye' and 'To kill a mockingbird' to get the references! Charlie's schizophrenic attacks reminded of movie 'a beautiful mind', maybe because both the protagonists displayed extraordinary IQ from the rest.
I am sure that I am going to re-read this, and gladly it didn't had a sad ending like most of the other books that dealt with similar issues. I was expecting a lot of bad(read sad) twists but thankfully nothing happened :) !
I was thinking of 4-stars but by the 3/4rth of it, made me undoubtedly rate it to 5-stars!
