I enjoyed this more than Little Fires Everywhere! Celeste Ng writes about family dynamics so beautifully, she portrays the everyday struggles of each member without ever making a single one of them the villain. You understand the weight on Lydia's shoulders, the jealousy of Nath not being recognised for his accomplishments, the invisibility of Hannah and the struggle their parents have reconciling race and ethnicity, battling adult life.
