James Acaster's Guide to Quitting Social Media by James Acaster

5.0

Oh my god I loved this book. It is ridiculous and absurd and I’m sure it’s not for everyone. But I have never laughed out loud so much (or at all?) from a book like this. At one point my partner came out of his office to see if I was ok because he could hear me in hysterics.

It’s a fictional telling of a man quitting social media and then recreating in real life all the little things social media offers. There is a large and insane cast of characters and adventures and constant call-backs to prior jokes.

I listened to the audiobook, read by James himself, and highly recommend it. To a certain type of person, I guess.
