Fangirl

This was a take it or leave it book for me. I wasn't particularly wowed by it but I did enjoy the story. It's set in college and I felt like I could completely relate to Cath's entire college journey and life- the dorms, the roommates, the friends, the boys, the classes. It was like I was reading my own story which was kind of fun. I enjoyed following along with Cath as she tried to navigate and make sense of it all.
I never did get into the Simon Snow part of the story though. Honestly when it switched to Simon's story I never felt too interested in it and mostly just wished it would get back to Cath's side of things. I wished there had been more of a connection between Simon and Cath somehow. I kept waiting for it, but it never came. So there was something about this story that just didn't click for me.
But, like I said, I did enjoy it for what it was and apparently a lot of other readers adore it. So I guess it's just one of those books for me.
