i was impressed with the structure of the story and thought the epilogue wrapped it up nicely. the author did a great job of depicting what it is like to live in a household that experiences domestic abuse and violence, and how that trauma carries through the lives of family members for years afterwards, shapes their decision making, alters the fabric of their existence. a lot of recognizable, relatable feelings and scenarios.
