Omega Founded
by Mae Pierce
Mae Pierce has created a beautiful tableaux that marries the amazing backdrop of the historical west with the steamy angst of Omegaverse. It is a story filled with heartache, fulfilment, and love that endures within an Anti-Designation society. Esta withers under her status as a jewel within the crown and yearns for a life where she is seen and loved for herself first. She makes the daring decision to answer a mail-order bride ad in the hopes of escaping the terrifying future her father has in store. This decision is her reckoning, and yet, she is a phoenix that rises from the ashes.
Esta's future happiness hangs in the balance as Hale, Ruck, and Oliver work to overcome their own traumas from human laws that subjugate the Designated. They must work together to make their dreams a reality and what terrible sacrifices are made along the way.
This was such an unusual take on Omegaverse and I love how mired it is in the vein of Historical Romance. The sweeping landscapes are a beautiful setting for a world rocked with oppression and injustice. This story had so much at stake but its heart was breath-taking even in its pain. I cannot recommend this new book or series enough. Mae Pierce is a powerful storyteller and I hope you will take a chance on a Historical Omegaverse when it releases on February 10th. As always, please check content warnings.
