This was a good cross between a darker version of Pretty Woman and The Bear. I trust in the author’s writing, and it didn’t let me down. Quite a lot of dark and upsetting stuff at the start, but when the story starts moving in an upwards direction we never get pulled back down, and I honestly enjoyed that.
