Mr. Spencer by TL Swan

4.0

Who knew that Spencer Jones, a promiscuous, billionaire, and playboy could also be the kind-hearted and romantic man you can find? His determination to fight tooth and nail against the Prescott men to keep Charlotte Prescott with him, kept me smiling all the time. He knows how to weave through the obstacles to get what he wants for his love is truly admirable.
The twist towards the ending was not a surprise for me at all. Understanding the nature of how William's wife operates with her adultering, was predictable. I can't help but hurt more for Spencer towards the end. While hurting, he still tries to fight and fix their relationship and grovels as hard as he can to win back Charlotte... until that letter which he received on his birthday. That was heartbreaking. Yeah, I'm Team Spencer during that moment. To me, Charlotte wasn't strong enough to fight for them. I was hoping that she could at least give him the time to see him in person even if she wants to break up with him on his birthday. Blaming the wrong timing and everything of the arrival of the letter, I was so annoyed at her that I can't help to think that she deserves Spencer's cold shoulder and not agreeing to marry her immediately after getting back together. I would do the same thing too, if I were him.
Overall, this book is a good read. It's funny, full of angst, steam, some heartbreaking moments and a satisfying HEA.
