The Downstairs Neighbor by Helen Cooper wasn’t the most suspenseful thriller I’ve read, but I loved the air of mystery that was woven throughout. I feel as though the title was a bit misleading, and I think that compared to the lack of suspense really took me out of this read. I Kidd, however, really enjoy the perspective changes, though some were more interesting than others. I think this book tried to do a lot more than it had the time for, and focusing on so much made it feel a bit surface level, rather than a deep and suspenseful experience. While I like the story, it wasn’t one of the best thrillers I’ve read, even though it was fast-moving.
