i really actually liked this one. this is a book i couldn’t put down and i haven’t had that in a while so that was a nice surprise. characters are very basic and predictable, yet the boys are still loveable. the heroine is honestly dull. i didn’t realize it as i was reading but girly is supposed to have this incredible brain and can solve any puzzle or whatever, YET she isn’t like witty or even that sarcastic. her background is built to house this witty, sarcastic, take-no-shit girl, but she is literally boring. like you all of a sudden go from NOTHING to EVERYTHING and all you can worry about is your older sister/guardian and cute boys?? BRUH. but otherwise i really liked the twists and turns it’s an entertaining read i just wish the heroine provided more to the dialogue. you can tell the author wanted some badass mf as the heroine (again, re: her backstory), but she did not deliver. hope in the next book she actually finds her voice.
