The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

dark reflective fast-paced

5.0

I first read the fig excerpt years ago and have since read it countless times. Reading this book felt strangely familiar, and not because of the fig story. Plath's stark humor and use of repetition is masterful. I know I normally include quotes in my reviews, but it's be about the length of a CVS receipt if I attempted that here. I am grateful for this work of madness and mastery.
