This was...quite the read. Was very happy to see a queer book about older adults and their struggles, but somethings resllt left me going "???" out loud. I know that's the point, but I'm surprised by how so many issues are just wrapped up so quickly like Pepper hearing that her Ma-Pa wish she wasn't born or even the fact Chris cheated a lot. I can go 'oh yeah these are shitty people who are trying to get better' ( minus Jo. Glad Jo got outta there ) but it's really hard to walk away from this thinking Chris will get better besides the fact oh wow they apologized and won't be a bad parent now yaaay š
maybe that's harsh, but that's just how I'm feeling after it. Still was a read that I wouldn't say is a bad read. Just some pacing issues and conflicts that could've been handled a liiittle better.
