rating memoirs remains weird but I appreciated my experience with this one and do recommend it. This is a pretty detailed account of what BG went through from the moment of detainment to integration to "normal" life. I think writing this was probably very difficult and I imagine is helping her road to healing, and it's a great way to get the details out for a mass audience. She talks about this in the end, everyone wants to know what it's like - now you can.

I appreciate the acknowledgement of being a higher profile prisoner and how that's harder and how it could potentially beneficial, and the focus at the end on hostages in custody elsewhere and what you can do to support those people and their families. Overall I recommend this and the audiobook was well narrated
