Junkyard War is the 3rd in the Junkyard Cats series of novellas released by audible. They are quite short but free so can't complain about that.
The story is pretty much battle suits and guns in a dystopian future. It owes a lot to a comic from the 1990s, Tank Girl. Honestly the best part of these stories are those bits that pay homage to those great comic books. The cats and the rats.
All the other stuff is entertaining but I loved the cats and rats.
