I liked the concept, but it felt like the same conflict kept playing out over and over throughout the book, and that got tired. That said, I did especially like Sea and found his internal conflicts to be interesting.
One weird thing - one of the main characters is named Seamus, and goes by the shortened Sea, which is pronounced Shay, but he does take advantage of the spelling and its connotation with his sea themed tattoos. It was really distracting to keep having to remind myself that his name was not pronounced like the common word it is spelled as.
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫3.5: Almost great, but falling short somehow. But more than just tipping the scale into good territory.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3: Medium Salsa (A few open door scenes with explicit descriptions, but perhaps not very detailed)
