I was intrigued by the general concept (I’m a big fan of “Pines” by Blake Crouch), but I didn’t like all the flowery, philosophical writing… maybe it lands with other people, but I found myself just rolling my eyes and checking my watch to see how much longer it was going to take to find out what happened at the end of the book. 🤷🏻‍♀️
