Partly, this felt little like a sequel - the relationship was carried over from book one, but only one aspect from the plot ( the fact that Crane was a conduit . That took me by surprised a little. But I really enjoyed it! I really liked Crane and Stephen and the way their relationship was built up, even if it wasn't as much in the focus as I expected. In comparison to book one, I was able to tell characters apart (for the most part).
Also, I lowkey missed Crane and his imaginative, colourful insults.
