Bound to the Wild Fae by Tavia Lark
3.5

  • flirty fae + anxious human
  • hurt/comfort
  • forced proximity
  • "little human" 🥹
  • light world-building

“Can we pretend we’re still cursed?” Folly mumbles against Yarrow’s chest. “Just for a bit, so I can get used to this.”
Yarrow nuzzles Folly’s hair. “I’ll take any excuse to hold you, little human.”
“Good. I’ll start thinking of more excuses.”

I absolutely loved the plot of this, but I feel like this author could have done so much more with it. I flew through it and enjoyed it, but I just wish we had a little more. Maybe I'm just saying that because it's Tavia Lark? Her books are usually so meaty and plot-heavy, and this was just ... good. I didn't really see their connection at all and then BOOM, they're in love. I loved Yarrow's flirty behavior, but it just kind of fizzled out. And then the same thing happened with Folly's nerves. It's almost like their feelings for each other made them almost boring. Anyway, a cute quick read, but it just wasn't what I normally expect from this author.
