Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness
by Susannah Cahalan
Engaging, suspenseful, touching. I feel like I disappeared inside this book and when I reemerged at the end (a mere day and a half later) there were tears running down my face. It's scientifically accurate, yet written in a way that laypeople can easily understand, and the fact that it's a true story makes it all the more moving. I highly recommend this book, especially to those interested in neuroscience or medicine.
