Oh boy does this book have a lot to say… Once again, Fredrik Backman had knocked it out of the park with a story centered around a hockey town that is so much more than just hockey. Each character is so beautifully and tenderly expanded upon from the introductory story in this series. The stakes are somehow even higher as new characters are introduced and the towns of Hed and Beartown are left to simmer in their hatred and rivalry in the wake of the events involving Kevin in the first book. A really hard look in the face of people (and a town and club) trying to recover from a tragedy. Just wow honestly. Side note, seeing even more of Benji’s (heartbreaking) story is killing me; I just want my boy to be happy and alive. On to the finale I suppose…
