Declan by Jenna Myles

I'm not going to rate this one since I decided I won't be reading it, but I still wanted to give my opinion on the characters since we see them in the other books. In Colton's book, we meet Cara, the fmc for Declan. Based on the interactions there, I'm not a fan. She sexually harasses Declan. Period. It's a huge double standard, and I'm struggling to overlook it. He's her boss (technically, since he owns part of the business) and his brothers assistant, and she regularly "corners him" with sexual remarks and touches. He's outright stated to his brothers that she makes him uncomfortable (they laugh it off) and repeatedly puts distance between himself and her when she makes her advances. If the roles were reversed and he was the one making the advances, it would be a much bigger deal. On top of that, throughout the series, Declan has been a lanky video gamer who is outgoing and fun, but suddenly, right before his book, he's started working out and is now trying to be more "mature." I don't like it. Especially since the series has been body positive up to this point. Keep in mind that all of this has happened before we even get to his book. Honestly, I'm trying not to let it turn me off of the rest of the series.
