The Watchmaker of Filigree Street
by Natasha Pulley
This is a cozy steampunk book about a Japanese watchmaker way ahead of his time and a quirky Englishman from The North. It's kind of magical in this surprising and yet ordinary way. I love it. There's a beautiful love story that's not forced or ridiculous, it's just warm. Grab some tea (or coffee, or a cat whatever) and curl up in corner and read this book. It will make you wonder whether something amazing is just around the corner. It will fill you up with a twinkling light. It's almost a who done it wrapped in clockwork. It's a delight. Just read it.
