Arthur and the Golden Rope by Joe Todd-Stanton

5.0

I absolutely loved this book! Bought it initially to have a read and to give to my boyfriend’s nephew, but ended up keeping it myself 😅

Honestly, though, not all 5-year-olds have the patience to sit through a story so I thought I’d keep this as part of my own graphic novel collection instead. Too much of a pity to have this beautiful book being handled roughly by kids!

That being said, I think this book does appeal to adults as well as it has such beautiful illustrations. I really loved the way Arthur is being portrayed. He’s such an endearing, understated character! And yes, like what Professor Brownstone says, ‘sometimes the greatest heroes are the unlikeliest’.

This book is really, really lovely and I do recommend this to even adult readers who would love to collect an amazingly illustrated graphic novel with a story that can resonate with everyone.
