Professor Feelgood by Leisa Rayven
4.0

4.5 Feel Good Stars!!

“Your words are just so….visceral. They’re full of passion, and longing, and pain, and how you write…” “It affects people. And that’s what the best art should do. Art shouldn’t make us happy and comfortable. It should challenge us. Dare us to step outside our comfort zone for a while.”

“Whether you or not you love someone is irrelevant. The difference between heaven and hell is them loving you back. If they don’t, you can’t do a damn thing about it except pack up your heart and move on.”

“I have the strongest urge to just sit here and immerse myself in his words. Bathe in their literary richness like Scrooge McDuck bathes in money.”

Professor Feelgood has been on my can’t wait to get my hands on list and was one of my most anticipated novels. I am a huge fan of Leisa Rayven’s books so, the bar was definitely set high for this book and let me tell you this book was soooo worth the wait. Professor Feelgood is smart, funny and filled with delicious tension. This book captivated me from the very first page and had me devouring every single word…

Professor Feelgood follows the story of Asha & Jacob. A hopeless romantic with a budding career in the book industry, Asha believes she has stumbled upon the next big thing. She’s riveted and spellbound by the words of Professor Feelgood. His words are sexy, real and full of hope. She’s convinced that Professor Feelgood could be a best seller. But, when she secured the deal, she never imagined what she would be getting herself into. You see, there is more to the professor than what meets the eye. He’s rude, arrogant, the very definition of jerk. He challenges Asha in ways that she never expected and stirs up feelings that she thought were dead….

Professor Feelgood is the kind of book that captivates you and sweeps you off your feet. The story-line is fun and entertaining. Jacob is by far the biggest jerk, but I just loved him. I couldn’t wait to see what would come out of his mouth next. And Asha took it as well as she gave it, never missing a beat. The banter between these two is off the charts. The kind of banter that makes you want to grab a bag of popcorn and settle in for the ride. Their story was hands down one of my favorite enemies to lovers stories. It gave me everything I was looking for and then some. From entertaining banter to intense chemistry. To secrets of the past and misunderstandings. To oh so swoon worthy moments and moments that just made your heart ache. I’m telling you, this book hit all the marks.

I loved every moment of this story from beginning to end. Jacob and Asha’s story was so unexpected and so much more than I ever thought would be possible. It was beautifully written and sweet with an oh so satisfying ending. These characters were so easy to get lost in and kept me begging for more.
