When All Is Said by Anne Griffin

I thoroughly enjoyed ‘When all is said.’ I loved how there was so much humour in a book that was predominantly about loss and grief. I could ‘hear’ the tale being recounted in a lilting Irish accent making it all the more charming and beguiIing. Maurice - the adult - was both a charmer and a man who was not afraid to voice an opinion and say what he thought, yet his biggest regret was that he didn’t express the depth of his feelings towards Sadie and Kevin in words or actions.

A quiet tale, beautifully and effortlessly told, that is sure to pull on the heartstrings on more than one occasion.
