This book is historical fiction/romance inspired by JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. I didn’t know much about their story before reading Meant to Be, so I was just able to enjoy the ride.
Joe and Cate had completely different upbringings, but there’s an undeniable spark when they meet. I appreciated the alternating points of view to really understand the characters’ histories and motivations. I found the story engaging and easy to read (although not necessarily a “light” read, check content warnings). If you love books that give a peek into the lives of celebrities, I recommend this book!
