“You’re the reason I smile.”

This story was action-packed from beginning to end. It had a great narration, and I loved all the accents and use of different languages throughout the whole story.

The story starts with Nina, daughter of the head of the Russian mafia, being in prison due to some family drama, only to be released early thanks to her brother who promised her in marriage to the son of the head of the Italian mafia.

Now, even though she was promised to the son, it is the father who ends up marrying her. I honestly loved the chemistry and the back and forth between Enzo and Nina, but I also gotta admit that I felt bad for Matteo and was low-key rooting for a why choose ending.

I also felt like there were some unanswered questions in terms of Nina's backstory and the way that Enzo recognized her from the photos that Alexei showed them when he went to them with the marriage proposal. Other than that, this was a really good story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Quote: “If I had Nina, every force on this earth would have to fight to tear my attention from her. I would probably lose days exploring her body. Any marginal or fleeting desire that she had, I would make it my mission to fulfill.”
