The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of Native People in North America by Thomas King

5.0

I loved the writing style of this "Account". King writes with historical accuracy on the topics that usually get written by a white perspective. The clarity provided on these topics is significant and raises a lot of concern, concern that might not have been present prior to reading this book. It goes to show that we have been educated on one perspective of "history" for our entire lives without really knowing the truth about the dark history of North America. King's narrative is engaging, to the point, and very ironically comedic at points, but the main ideas do not sit any less heavy due to his almost nonchalant approach to addressing them.
