I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You by Courtney Maum
3.0
A man has a seven-year itch and has a fling with an unmarried woman, which understandably fractures his marriage.
It's hard to feel for this guy's plight. He has a smart, attractive wife, but after the excitement of early marriage and a child, things inevitably get stale. Maybe if they had been married twenty years, he would be a bit more likeable. It's hard to empathize with a selfish main character who doesn't understand life changes after a child.
Early 2000s Europe was an interesting setting to have the novel take place. I really enjoyed that insight, being anti-Bush myself.
