The beginning of this book was very slow - and I was only able to finish it by putting it down for a couple of weeks. It got to be ok by Christmas time - but didn't heat up till the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the book. A lot of time was spent trying to weave a bunch of lives and people together but it just dragged it all. The ending was very disappointing - and the meaning behind the title was made clear on the second last page - not a very good reason or title.

I loved Odd Thomas and Life Expectancy but this one was not a Dean Koontz book that I would recommend or read again.
