Could a story be too fast?
The plot was very fast paced, to the point where you’re not careful you find yourself speed reading and miss a critical moment.
The main character is all over the place and I had a hard time connecting with him.
The story was insightful at times, letting in the audience of the systemic oppression that American indigenous people face. Mostly, this novel touches on generational trauma of the main character. Combining a ghost horror story of a dead family member coming back from the dead to drain you’re essence.
