Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
There is just so much to this series that I came away from this book feeling somewhat dazed by everything I’d witnessed. Heir of Fire introduced a range of characters and revealed more information about the impending threat of the Valg. But here we got to see the characters’ journeys finally interconnecting — and it was SO satisfying. The increase in powerful female characters (& friendships!) in this was much needed; all strong, determined and ✨supportive✨ of each other.
Similarly, this felt conclusive and like we got a lot of closure for some of those conflicts and narratives. The last 150 pages were an absolute rollercoaster, and of course, got me all emotional. The next few books seem like they will be something very different because of how things were left at the end, and I’m excited to start reading EoS.
