A cozy mystery that takes set in the early 1900s on the cusp of large social and economic change, as many of the same genre are set. This one, however, takes a close to satirical take on the theme, but doesn’t go fully into satire, which was a good choice as the tongue-in-cheek nature is one of the better parts. Comedy and a close to buddy cop/upstairs, downstairs relationship make this a charming story of two very usual ladies trying, and failing, to live a new quiet life in the country.
