The most beautiful series ends on a lovely note. I have loved the themes of all the volumes thus far, but the way this one handled Mira confronting the darkness within her that always threatens to spill out is one for the books. I love the message that, though it can be hard and painful to have things we can't control in our bodies and minds, those experiences do allow us to travel paths that can lead to great friendships and strong relationships. Sure, without that dark thing hanging in the background life might've been easier, but you also would've lost something you treasure along the way, and I think that's a great way to look at the hardballs life throws our way.
