Stone Cold Notes by Julia Wolf
4.0
Wren (Birdie) and Callum first interact when she sends him fan mail. His band is just starting out. He's known as stone cold since he doesn't talk to pretty much anyone. Ever. For some reason, he was drawn to Wren's emails years ago. He found himself exchanging emails with his Birdie without actually knowing her.
Wren was the girl in high school that didn't date and wasn't really treated well by her peers. She found an outlet with emailing Callum Rose, bassist for The Seasons Change, a rock band growing in notoriety. After a terrible prom experience, and being hurt trying to meet Callum after a show, Birdie finds herself changing so much about herself. After having a child, she moves in with her great aunt since her parents were horrible toward her when she got pregnant.
Years later, Wren starts a new job at Good Music as a receptionist. When Adam and Callum, two members of The Seasons Change, approach her desk and Adam starts talking to her, Wren is taken back to years ago when her life changed. Callum doesn't say a word to her, but she knows he doesn't realize who she is from his past.
Through some crazy events, Callum and Wren start spending time together. Let me tell you, Callum is a bit over the top and possessive. Ok, not a bit. A lot. But in this world, it all makes sense and he's perfect for Wren and her son.
Ok, I am all over the place with this series. I read book 3 first (or so I thought). I was about 2 chapters from the end and found out that book 1 was available on Audible with my membership so I started listening to it while working on some things around the house. I finished book 1 while still not done with book 3. Then I moved on to book 2, audio version, and realized I'd read that one last year. It was… odd (review on that one), but now that I've read book 3 and listened to book 1, the characters made more sense. What I’m getting at, is you can read all of the books in this series as a standalone, or completely out of order, and you will be fine. I just highly recommend diving into these books for a great rockstar romance series. They won't disappoint.
