Bet The Farm by Staci Hart is a small town romance story about a girl named Olivia who comes back home to her family farm when her grandfather dies. Olivia is expecting to inherit the entire farm and all of her grandfather's responsibilities with it. Unfortunately for her, Olivia gets much more than she bargained for. Olivia struggles to get to know the operations of the farm, and the finances that are involved. Olivia needs to find a way to help the farm stop losing money, while keeping the workers happy. One worker in particular, is resistant to change and butts heads with her at every turn.
Bet The Farm is a cute romance story and had all the elements to make it enjoyable. The writing was easy to read and the characters were likeable. Olivia was a happy main character who was determined to save the farm, Jake was the grumpy resident who did not like change. Together the pair were entertaining to read about, and the banter between them was fantastic. I listened to Bet The Farm in audio form, and the two narrators were great. I really enjoyed when Jakes character changed his voice to impersonate Olivia. It made me laugh every time! Overall this was a light and easy to read romance story, it was fun to listen to while getting ready for work in the morning!
