Finding Love by Toni Shiloh

4.0

Delaney Jones is finally finding a new normal and healing after the death of her husband three years ago. But when army soldier, Luke Robinson, comes to town to atone for his part in her husband’s death, old hurts resurface. And new feelings that she hasn’t felt in years. As Luke is atoning for his sins he’s also getting closer to Delaney and they can’t ignore their feelings anymore. But this is another military man. Does Delaney have enough faith to trust God will keep him safe?

This was a lovely read. I enjoyed that the characters were a bit older, so the romance moved faster. They had their hesitations but were mature and moved past them to be together. It was a very cute romance. And among the romantic fluff were dashes of the more serious topic of finding love after the death of a spouse. I thought that was well done. There is also a strong Christian element to this book. It touches on topics of guilt, faith, trust, and the power of prayer. It was a really good book and a quick read.

If you’re looking for a sweet Christian romance about finding love after loss, then this book might be for you.
