  • Strong character development? It's complicated
At this point, I’m convinced the MMC is a freaking Fae or something (knowing this was 2012 perhaps this was the inspo idk). The description of him even this far is something I don’t think I’m getting used to. But also for some reason I couldn’t take the personal intimate conversations the MC’s were having seriously. This line made me laugh too hard: “It shreds me when you cry.” (surely there was a better word than shreds...). Also if I ever hear the words "fuck pad" from someone irl, I will lose it. 
 
Looking back I think the second book had the better plot (cause basically MMC left the FMC alone). Alas, this is where I stop in this series, I need my good emotional dialogue and plot back.

Side note: I actually got this recommendation from a recent Reddit thread. Interesting it's still relevant in 2024.
