Alright, after Gloves Off, I was really craving another hockey romance so I downloaded it even though it wasn’t on my July hopefuls list. But I’m a fickle bitch and wanted smutty sports. This one def scratched my smutty itch. Hat Trick opens with our MMC, Riley and his slutty little glasses getting into a car accident and loses a leg, now with rehab and the help of the team’s athletic trainer, Lexi, he wants to be able to skate again. It’s really sweet and I think Riley’s story is handled really well. And when Riley starts hinting at his kink preferences, I was in love.
However, the writing style on this one was not my favorite, there were moments that really took me out of the story. I was just underwhelmed with the book as a whole.
