Preferential Treatment

I think this is a step up from the first book. I think that the way that the dynamic of a fem/dom relationship between Kate and Mikhail is an interesting one. Katya has all the power in the world when it comes to being the dominant person in Mikhail's life. He gives her everything even when he is hesitant to do so. The imbalance of their relationship wore down on them slowly. When Mikhail couldn't love her the way she wanted she stepped away. I appreciate that Kate left their relationship when she did because it was more for her than it was for him at the time. Mikhail made up for it and he is still a human with a broken past but his devotion to Kate was cute. This is definitely a book that was much different than what I normally read because Kate was a dominant person and Mikhail was submissive. An interesting look at that dynamic.
