Bared to You
by Sylvia Day
Bared To You is the first book in the Crossfire series. In this book we are introduced to our main characters and given some background introduction. Eva Tramell is a socialite, who lives like a normal as much as possible. Eva and her best friend Cary live together.
Eva and Cary both have dark pasts. They met through therapy years ago in California and have been inseparable since. Bad things have happened to them and through this they both suffer with relationships.
Embarking on a new adventure, the two move to New York. With Eva's past, there is always a chance it could come back to haunt her. Because of this it makes her mother overly protective. This is the reason for her new apartment being a high rise with extra security, among other things. She wants freedom and tries to get it any way she can. Things like not taking a job her rich step-father wants for her, but instead accepting a entry level job at Waters Field & Leaman Ad agency in the Crossfire Tower.
A chance meeting with a dark and dangerous looking man will change everything.
Gideon Cross is a young, sexy, billionaire business mongrel. He has a very dark past. One that has controlled his entire life. He doesn't date. EVER. He is always in control. He exudes power and sex appeal.
When he notices a blonde entering his building, he is immediately drawn to her. He must have her, conquer her, possess her. He has never felt this before. NEVER. He has to know why. He needs to be inside her.
This is where our story in book one begins. Let me tell you this book is an deep seated emotional read. It is so intense and powerful it will draw you in and captivate you. I am on a non stop binge reading in this series. I can't seem to put it down. I am so enthralled with the story. This book series puts Fifty Shades to shame. You though Mr. Grey was possessive and intense. Mr. Gray has nothing on Gideon cross. NOTHING! Mr. Cross is deeply intense and the sex appeal level is out of this world. Damn that man is fine!
With the intense push and pull of their relationship, I am not sure if these two will be able to pull this off and survive each other. The possessiveness is strong and sometimes very overboard. Gideon Cross not only wants Eva's body, but he wants to consume everything she is. Mind, body and soul. This last book ends in a uneasy way for Eva, with Cary really screwing up. In more ways than one. Combine that with Gideon's screwup and you are left begging for the story to continue. Which it does in book 2 Reflected In You. So read on people. You have got to read this series.
