Final thoughts on BTTM: 4.9/5

I loved the progression of the story. To see Liz slowly realize that she likes Wes instead of Michael was so rewarding. To watch her feel more comfortable with Wes and get close to him and have conflicting feelings. So good!!

Wes is such a great character. The tension was so strong between the two and i loved the banter and teasing. It was also great that we didnt really know of his feelings until the end. We could only guess. The mystery adds to the tension and uncertainty which made ME even feel butterflies and anxiety, as if i was Liz. (In the second book, we get POVs of both Liz and Wes which arguably made it a little worse since there was no uncertainty -- knowing how they felt about each other with each chapter). And omg Wes being a yearner. Being in love with her for so long and helping her out with her crush mustve been so awful for him. I really empathize and can feel his turmoil. Him saying, "What are you doing to me?", really pulled on my heartstrings.

Liz was sort of frustrating in the beginning with all the lying. I couldnt stand it. Why not be honest?? But also she was going through her own feelings about her step mom and stuff. It was a good side story but i was kind of not thaaat interested, which probably makes me a bad person.

I also did like the rom com quotes at the start of each chapter. That was a nice touch and now im going to watch all of the ones i havent watched :)

And i love the playlist! I love books that have songs that i can listen to after and replay the book in my head
