I’m torn. I blew through this book in a matter of hours which lately has been impossible for me. However.... I don’t understand what I read?? I mean, I get it, I just don’t see what the bigger picture was supposed to be. I would call the interactions between Jack and August toxic at best and purely destructive at worst. They’re just idiots really to assume they can handle mental illness on their own and let it get to such drastic points. It’s realistic in that way but I don’t think it portrays anything healthily other than being there for loved ones when they need you but even that is shown as something that lands them in much worse drama..... idk I still had to finish it. I did enjoy the disjointed writing style; it fit really well with the topic. The mixed media was cool and the cover and layout of the pages are all awesome but I’m just not satisfied with my experience with this book.
