The book is very well put together. Even though there are quite a few characters and at times the amount of information may feel overwhelming, that’s actually the beauty of it: the author draws you into the detective’s shoes, following different leads, forming hypotheses, and trying to solve the case right alongside her.

The protagonist is excellently developed. She remains consistent throughout the story, portrayed as a strong and clever woman, but with just enough vulnerability to make her feel real. The side stories about her personal life are engaging, even if at times they seem a little forced — mostly to include the classic love subplot, here in a more dramatic form.

The supporting characters are also well written and vividly described. Each storyline allows you to step into the perspective of the character in focus, which makes the narrative even more immersive.

I especially enjoyed how nearly every chapter ends with a small mystery or an extra clue that keeps you eager to turn the page and find out what’s happening. The final chapters are spot on: a rush of information and very little time to put it all together, perfectly capturing the frenzy of the investigation, followed by a sense of calm once the case is solved.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys crime fiction and mysteries. Thanks to its structure, it really makes you feel like a detective yourself — gathering evidence, testing theories, and working toward the truth.
