knaglieri 's review for:
Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone
by Diana Gabaldon
This is so hard to review. I adore the Outlander books -- they are some of the only books I've ever reread and I always hate for them to end, even though they are usually 45+ hours long. This book was the same. I started panicking about it being over when there were still 35 hours to go because I didn't want it to end. I was thrilled to be back with Claire, Jamie, Bree, Roger and the rest of the family. I was happy to listen to hour after hour of their lives. But... BUT, this is the weakest book in the series by far. Nothing happens. People come together, other people leave, then they all come together again... but not much happens. And for all the hours of narration and hundreds of pages, the things that DO happen feel rushed. I look forward to the next one, but I am disappointed in this one.
