ARC for honest review... I love this author. It did not take but seconds for me to be drawn back into Dominic Baine's world. So freaking hot!
Avery's fear of her stepbrother is palpable. Her fear of losing Nick is so real you feel it for her. Her love for her mother, and Nick's offer to try and help her makes his character seem so noble. Even when you feel Nick's self worth is in the gutter, or mixed in with his driving need to succeed at all costs, his need to help and save Avery colors every decision.
Then of course we have more secrets and threats when Rodney busts back into the scene. The lies she feels is going to break them. You want to shout at her to just tell him!
I was totally ambushed by the twists and turns at the end of this book. This cliffhanger had me in shock! I did not see that coming. The minute I thought I could breathe! Wow just wow! This was a good one!
