City of Ghosts by V.E. Schwab

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

Has too many Harry Potter references and I'm not in the headspace to read MG right now. Though maybe with all that's going on in my life I should read something easy and escapist but there's just something that never happens to bond with me with VS writing. Like I really really wanna like her writing bc I see she's gifted at what she does and I have enjoyed some of her characters but at the same time it just doesn't mesmerize me. Maybe on another try but the HP name drops are very off putting.
