What a dobber of a book! It took me a while to read but i’m so glad I stuck with it. Those last two chapters took a turn!!
The big plot twist is quite early on in the book which shocked me, and the remainder was what happened afterwards, tying up strings and solving the mysteries.
I was confused at the end about the Maud’s timeline, but that was only because I had forgotten she went back to Lant Street after leaving Hawtrey’s. my mistake hahaha.
a brilliant, long, twisted book with different timelines and perspectives. my first historical fiction book too. it was written in a way that transported me back to the time. loved that
