Paper Princess by Erin Watt
5.0
Randomly, I really wanted to jump into this book yesterday. So, without any hesitations, I did just that. I was honestly a bit surprised that I last read Paper Princess in 2018. Mostly because I still remember what happened while reading this.
Long story short, I still hate Brooke. She reeks of desperation and it's completely annoying to watch her try to become a Royal. One hundred percent sure that baby is not of Royal blood. Or that's what I'm hoping for. If it's true, I seriously can't wait for that big reveal to come because that would put a huge smile on my face. If it's not, then I might cry into my coffee because I can't stand her.
In the end, I'm freaking out because of what Ella walked in on. I'm hoping we get more insight as to why that evil lady was in his room. So, that being said, I'm diving back into book #2.

Second time read. First time review.
Paper Princess is a pretty good book. I mean it must be since I own every book in the series (so far). I love getting to meet Ella because she's so fierce and doesn't take anyone's shit. Yeah, sometimes she feels like crying because things can be hurtful.. but she's one strong individual.
The day she meet's the Royals, well.. shit kind of hits the fan. I honestly hated everyone at her new school, except for Valerie. I loved her and she seemed like the only true friend that she had. Then there's the Royal sons and I feel bad for them. They don't seem to trust or respect their own dad. The whole deal surrounding his dad's girlfriend makes me cringe, every time. I don't get why she's with him.. or why he's with her. She's been eye-fucking/sleeping with his sons. Again, cringing here!!
Then there's the little romance. I loved getting to see Ella and Reed. They definitely challenge each other and its entertaining to say the least. Of course, some of the things that Reed did were annoying and frustrating. I also hated how they all assumed that she was sleeping with their dad - again CRINGING HERE.
The few twists and turns that we got were good. Then the ending came, and I'm ready to dive into book 2 again. I need her back with the royals and I need everyone to be a team player again. I still hate the dad's girlfriend and I need her gone ASAP.
