The Punk and the Plaything
by B.B. Reid
This book had potential and was going really well until about halfway in when things started to drag on and on. I found myself skimming a lot of the pages that were just the same angsty thoughts being arranged in different sentences.
On top of that we’re hit with some seriously WTF scenes which came out of nowhere and brought nothing but frown lines between my eyebrows.
The only redeeming quality by the end of this book are the two main characters. I love Jaime and I think he’s a sweetheart despite his issues. Bee/Bette/Barbie/Barbette/whateverthefuck kind of grew on me too. Oh and Jaime’s mom. If she starred in a reality TV show I would watch every episode. Overall 3 stars for Jaime and Bee’s broken love story.
